Winter Youth Programs

Tuskegee Airmen Flight Academy is  a program for youth ages 14 to 19 who want to become airline pilots. Youth should also have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4 point scale or have good recommendations for good deportment. The program consist of covering the requirements to become an airline pilot and a course to pass the FAA Private Pilot Ground School Test. In the spring youth will begin to fly the Tuskegee Airmen Motorgliders. The program will be conducted on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 6:30PM to 8PM at Detroit City Airport. Summer Youth Programs

Aviation Career Education Academy I (ACE I) an FAA Program administered by the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees, Wayne State University and the Black United Fund of Michigan. The program is open to students who will be in the 10th , 11th and 12th grades in the fall of 2016 and who may or may not have an interest in aviation. The Academy is a 5 day program from July 10 thru the 14th at TBD. See attached flyer.
