This years dinner is an event packed evening that includes a celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the winning of the First Top Gun Competition of the USAF in 1949, the premier of a new documentary on the Tuskegee Airmen and the ribbon cutting of the new exhibit of the Tuskegee Airmen.

A & P Maintenance Familiarization Program

This is a new program provided by The World Heritage Air Museum and the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum. The program seeks to introduce youth and young adults to the career field of aviation maintenance with hands on as well as class room instruction. Graduates from this program will be able to move on to a certified maintenance program to complete the A & P license curriculum. Winter Youth Programs

Tuskegee Airmen Flight Academy is  a program for youth ages 14 to 19 who want to become airline pilots. Youth should also have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4 point scale or have good recommendations for good deportment. The program consist of covering the requirements to become an airline pilot and a course to pass the FAA Private Pilot Ground School Test. In the spring youth will begin to fly the Tuskegee Airmen Motorgliders. The program will be conducted every Thursday from 6:00PM to 8PM at Detroit City Airport. Summer Youth Programs

Aviation Career Education Academy I (ACE I) an FAA Program administered by the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees, Wayne State University and the Black United Fund of Michigan. The program is open to students who will be in the 8th , 9th and 10th grades in the fall of 2019 and who may or may not have an interest in aviation. The Academy is a 5 day program from July 08 thru the 12th  of 2019 at Wayne State University. ACE Academy II is held in Ypsilanti, MI date TBD.
